Brief Intro

  • This course is designed, primarily, to explore reading at the middle and high school levels.
  • Part of its focus is to examine young adult literature (YAL) and reading strategies that can be used in various content areas.
  • Throughout this semester, we will explore methodology and research relating directly to adolescent literacy.
  • Finally, this course will look at the role technology plays in teaching and adolescents' reading.
