    4thewords.com
4thewords is a website that encourages writing as a way to win "battles." It is a good tool for students who enjoy role-playing games and writing. You can also read stories from thousands of other writers around the world. The game aspect of this website could be useful in getting reluctant students to read and write.

This site is another site for history teachers. Unlike Students of History however this site is free for the user. It gives teachers access to some stragies of how to teach history in the classroom. It also has a section of how to use literacy in the history classroom that I find extremely useful.
